The Women’s Harm Reduction Program is a trans-inclusive, sex-work positive program for all women who use drugs.
The program arose from a recognized community need for specialized trauma-informed support for marginalized women who use drugs, to provide a safe space for open discussion, access to health care, engagement in harm reduction education and to provide employment and training opportunities.
The main point of engagement for new community members who are female identified is through the Women’s Harm Reduction Drop-in, which meets every Tuesday morning from 9:oo- 11:30a.m.. The group comes together to enjoy a light breakfast, group based activities, games, education and discussion groups. Group participants also have the opportunity to access health care via a nurse practitioner who works with the group to promote and enhance women’s wellness.
