The Women’s Harm Reduction Program is a trans-inclusive, sex-work positive program for all women who use drugs.
The program arose from a recognized community need for specialized trauma-informed support for marginalized women who use drugs, to provide:
- a safe space for open discussion
- access to health care
- engagement in harm reduction education
- employment and training opportunities
The main access point of engagement for new members who are female identified is through the Women’s Harm Reduction drop-in Tuesday mornings from 9:oo- 11:30a.m. The group comes together to enjoy a light breakfast, group based activities, games, education and discussion groups. Group participants also have the opportunity to access health care via a nurse practitioner who works with the group to promote and enhance women’s wellness.
**At this time the Women’s Harm Reduction drop-in is not running.
