Are you interested in community health? Do you want to make a difference? If so, you may want to consider running for election to the South Riverdale Community Health Centre’s Board of Directors
SRCHC offers programs and services that work together to improve the overall wellbeing of our community. Here is a sample of what the Centre provides:
• Health promotion programs for children, adults and seniors
• Medical treatment like chiropody (foot care), family doctors and nurses
• Environmental projects like bicycle advocacy and asthma awareness in schools
• Outreach to those who may have difficulty accessing health care.
Our Mission Statement: South Riverdale Community Health Centre is a community controlled organization that believes that health is a state of physical, mental and social well being, and that the role of the Health Centre is to provide good quality primary care and to engage in those clinical, social, economic, political and education initiatives that promote health.

Our Mandate: At SRCHC we strive to service those who face the greatest barriers to appropriate health care services or are most at risk for developing health problems.
To stand for election to the Board you must:
• Live or work within our boundaries (east of the Don River, west of Coxwell Ave., and south of Mortimer Ave. to the Lake) or are a user of the Centre’s services
• Be a member of SRCHC as of April 15, 2010
• Commit to about six (6) hours per month of Board/Committee meetings
• Accept the Centre’s Mission, Values and Mandate.
