What physiotherapy is:
Physiotherapy uses a range of assessment and therapeutic techniques to help diagnose and treat various health issues and injuries. Treatment may include exercise, education, manual therapy, acupuncture, and pain-relief methods. Many clients who have accessed physiotherapy at SRCHC have achieved goals such as returning to work, reducing their need for medication, and maintaining their independence.
Who physiotherapy is for:
Physiotherapy services are intended for individuals who face barriers to accessing care elsewhere. This includes newcomers to Canada, people between the ages of 19 and 65, and those without private insurance or the means to afford private physiotherapy.
Eligibility:
Physiotherapy is currently available only to clients of SRCHC. A referral is required from an SRCHC medical doctor, nurse practitioner, or chiropodist.
