Our community and partnerships
Our commitment to our neighbours and partners
We know that community health means more than just clinical care and supports. It also means being a good neighbour. That’s why we’re committed to improving safety and well-being in our area, responding to concerns, and working alongside local organizations, businesses and individuals to make a difference together.
We recognize the challenges that come with some of the issues our clients face, including lack of housing, substance use and poverty. But we also see the strength in partnership, whether that’s through community events, open communication with community members, or promoting new programs developed with partnering service providers. Our doors are open, and we’re always ready to listen, collaborate and do better.

What our neighbours and partners often ask us
- Why are there often people gathered around our facilities?
We are a community hub. People come to us for health care, harm reduction services, meals, and connection. We’re always working on ways to make the space welcoming and respectful for everyone.
- What should I do if I have a concern?
Your concerns matter. If it’s an emergency, call 911. For non-urgent issues related to our sites or programs, feel free to contact us directly using the form on this page.
For all other concerns, please email: [email protected].
We’re committed to responding within five business days.
- Can I attend SRCHC events or community meals?
Yes. Many of our events and community meals are open to the public. We encourage you to explore what’s happening and join us . From food markets to education workshops and special events, there’s something for everyone.
- How do you choose which organizations to partner with?
We collaborate with groups that share our commitment to high quality health care, equity, diversity, and inclusive care. We value partnerships that respond to real community needs and build local capacity.
- Can my organization propose a new collaboration?
Absolutely. If you’re doing work in the East Toronto area and see opportunities to work together, we’d love to hear from you. Reach out using the contact form or get in touch through our Contact page.
- What happens at your community events and open houses?
These are open forums where local residents, businesses, and organizations can share feedback, ask questions, and hear updates from our staff. We often share information about new programs, and identify ways we can work together to strengthen collaboration across the neighbourhoods we serve. Everyone is welcome, and you don’t need to prepare anything – just come as you are.
