Why join the SRCHC team

Make a real impact everyday

Come join a team of people who are passionate about delivering high-quality, compassionate care, and a wide range of social services to those who need them the most.

Work as a coordinated team

Our team-based approach brings together doctors, nurse practitioners, nurses, social workers, community health workers, health promoters, counselors, administrative professionals, and more to support the whole person—from social connections to food security to providing a coordinated health care experience to the people we serve.

Take the time to really care

Our team works together to provide wrap-around services. We take the time needed to listen, understand, and treat the whole person — not just the symptoms.

Prescribe more than medicine

We provide people with access to a full range of programs and services—from primary care to substance use care and social work supports, access to food, social programs, and more.

Be creative in your care

Our team goes above and beyond to help the people we serve. Innovation, collaboration and new ideas are encouraged.

Working with SRCHC

When you join SRCHC, you become part of a diverse, mission-driven team committed to providing compassionate, inclusive care to every corner of our community.

Collaborative teams: Our interprofessional team-based care approach means you’ll work alongside doctors, nurses, physiotherapists, social workers, health promoters, and other professionals, learning from each other and delivering quality wrap-around care.

Inclusive workplace: We’re committed to equity, diversity, and anti-oppression, and work together to create a safe and supportive environment where everyone can thrive and bring their full selves to work.

Comprehensive benefits: We offer a competitive compensation package, extended health and dental benefits, pension plan participation, and generous paid time off to support your well-being.

Professional growth: Whether through mentorship, learning sessions, or professional development, we invest in your growth and future career goals.

Shared purpose: Every member of our team contributes to building a healthier, more connected, and inclusive community — and we celebrate our successes together.

Our values

Reconciliation and relationships

We are committed to Indigenous self-determination, reconciliation, and learning from Indigenous communities and partners.

Health equity and justice

We believe health is shaped by social conditions like housing, income, food, education, safety, and inclusion. Everyone deserves access to what they need to thrive.

Lived experience and engagement

We value people’s lived realities and create space for honest dialogue that helps us grow and better respond.

Holistic, person-centred care

Health is complex. We support autonomy and choice and consider the full picture of what shapes someone’s well-being.

Learning and action

We combine research, evidence, lived experience, and values to guide our work and drive real positive change.

Build real-world experience in community health

If you’re a student seeking a placement, please connect directly with your school or academic institution. South Riverdale Community Health Centre does not coordinate placements independently—these are managed through formal agreements with schools. Your school will guide you through the proper process when opportunities with SRCHC are available.

Success stories

“What motivates me and makes me passionate is being able to listen, treat people with dignity and respect, and support them with what they need at that moment. Being able to relate when connecting someone. Providing a warm handoff when referring them to other programs. Instead of just giving them the number to call or a place to go. I do it with them; I make calls with them and I support them.”
Douglas Boulanger
Community Support Worker
“Joining the MATCH Program was an exciting opportunity to continue to practice with a focus on serving families facing a variety of barriers to accessing excellent healthcare. The MATCH Program also offered me the chance to integrate all of my various skills and interests, including registered massage therapy, on a multidisciplinary team.”
Jenn Brewer
Midwife
“Working as team of care providers, we have delivered wound care to 402 clients through 2,347 encounters between 2020 and 2023, effectively preventing amputations by managing complex wounds before they could lead to severe complications.”
Salman Alman
Chiropodist
“Primary CONNECT is all about breaking down barriers to care and meeting people where they’re at in their readiness journey. When people are ready for their next step, we are too – we work together to leverage each other’s experience and expertise to provide the best possible care”
Max Ering
Registered Nurse
