- Do I need to sign up to get a free meal?
No sign-up needed. Just arrive during the posted time and have a seat. Everyone is welcome.
- Can I bring my kids?
Yes. Kids are welcome at our food programs unless a specific event says otherwise. Some programs include activities for families.
- Do you offer vegetarian or halal food?
Yes. When we serve meals, we always try to offer options that are inclusive of dietary needs, including vegetarian and halal.
- Can I take food home with me?
Our free meals are usually dine-in only, but some of our other programs offer affordable take-home groceries or snacks. Check the program descriptions for details.
- Is there anything for people who want to learn to cook?
Yes. We run cooking workshops and kitchen programs where you can build your skills, try new recipes, and connect with others.
- Are these programs just for clients of SRCHC?
No. You don’t need to be a registered client to take part in our food programs. They’re open to everyone.
- Is there a cost for any of these programs?
Most food programs are free. Some markets offer fresh produce and groceries at low cost – we’ll always let you know ahead of time if there’s a fee.
- Can I help or volunteer?
Not sure where to start? Reach out and we’ll guide you. Whether you’re looking for care, support or just information, we’ll help you figure out the right next step.
