- Do I have to be a client to access 2SLGBTQ+ programs?
No. Some programs are open to everyone in the community, even if you’re not a registered client. Others may require a quick intake – we’ll let you know what’s needed.
- Can I see someone who understands 2SLGBTQ+ health?
Yes. We have staff who aim to provide care that’s respectful, gender-affirming, and sensitive to the effects of past trauma.
- What if I’ve had a bad experience with health care in the past?
We understand that seeking help can be difficult after a negative or traumatizing experience. That’s why we’re focused on providing informed and respectful care. You won’t be judged here. Come as you are – we’ll listen, and you can set the pace.
- Are your programs trans and non-binary-inclusive?
Yes. We welcome people of all gender identities and expressions. Some groups are specifically for trans, non-binary, or 2-Spirit people. Check the listings or ask us what’s available.
- Do you provide care for people who have had a miscarriage?
Yes. We offer support for people experiencing pregnancy loss, including medical care and emotional support.
- Do you offer support for 2SLGBTQ+ parents or families?
Yes. Our pregnancy and reproductive health programs are inclusive of all family types, including surrogacy and queer families.
- Is it okay to be seen if I’m not “out”?
Yes. You don’t need to share anything you’re not ready to. We’ll meet you where you’re at, and your privacy is always respected.
- Can I come talk to someone before joining a group or program?
Of course. You can email or call us, and we’ll help you figure out what feels right for you.
- Can someone help me with transition-related care?
Absolutely. We can support you in understanding your options, connecting to services, and feeling more confident throughout the process. You don’t have to figure it out alone.
