The Substance Use Crisis Management and Follow-up Team from the Gerstein Crisis Centre provides crisis response and short-term follow-up for individuals dealing with serious substance use concerns or concurrent disorders. Support is available for up to 30 days and is focused on community-based care.

This service is designed for individuals who frequently use emergency rooms or withdrawal management services, are experiencing distress or crisis, are homeless or under-housed (including those living in shelters, assisted living, or supportive housing), and who can be safely supported in the community.

Through a partnership with Unity Health Network, six short-term crisis beds are available for stays of up to 30 days.

To access support, contact the team directly during business hours at 416-962-0220 or call the 24-hour crisis line at 416-929-5200.
