More and more people are coming to SRCHC because it’s safe, welcoming, and easy to access – especially for those who don’t feel comfortable in more formal care settings. Many of our clients arrive with one concern and end up getting help with much more. It’s a reflection of how SRCHC’s team works: building trust, reducing barriers, and making a real difference for those who often fall through the cracks.

Team-based care
Clients are supported by an integrated team that may include doctors, nurse practitioners, midwives, nurses, social workers, health promoters, dietitians, and other professionals, working together to meet people’s diverse needs.

Holistic approach
We see the full picture. Our services support not only physical health, but also mental health, harm reduction, food access, community connection, and more.

Equity-first
We prioritize those who face the most systemic barriers and work to remove them: whether related to poverty, racism, colonialism, language, or stigma.

Prevention-focused
We offer education, screenings, and early interventions to reduce the need for emergency or hospital-based care, and to improve health outcomes over time.

Accessible to all
Most of our programs are free. We welcome people with or without health cards, extended health care benefits or family doctors, and offer support in multiple languages.
