The Plain Language Group at South Riverdale Community Health Centre provides Seniors a safe space to come together and learn about the importance of using simple language in different aspects of life.
These include documents pertaining to individual health, digital information, and government issued resources. Members of the group complete reading and writing exercises that cover the definition of plain language, how it functions, and its importance.
The group reviews documents together, analyzing words and graphics, before sharing feedback to better improve and simplify content for all readers.
