South Riverdale Community Health Centre is a non-profit, multi-service organization that provides primary healthcare, social and community outreach services with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention primarily to people of East Toronto. SRCHC is looking to hire a dynamic and experienced Manager to lead a number of special projects aimed at supporting the implementation of our new strategic plan. This role offers an exciting opportunity to make a significant impact by supporting the agency in promoting operational and governance excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a diverse portfolio of cross organizational projects aligned with SRCHC’s Board priorities and SRCHC’s operational accountability framework
- Develop, monitor, track and report on multiple project plans deliverables and risk mitigation strategies
- Develop and implement communication plans to inform and update staff, board members and other key stakeholders about projects
- Work with external consultants, partners, and other key stakeholders on key organizational projects
- Support Leadership Team to plan and implement a series of community engagement activities related to SRCHC’s 50th Anniversary
- All other duties as required
Education and Experience:
- Master’s degree with experience in a related discipline (e.g. health administration/project planning, quality improvement)
- Project Management certification considered an asset
- Minimum 3 years progressive leadership experience managing complex health system projects ideally in community health or primary care settings
Knowledge and Skills:
- Demonstrated ability to lead and support project teams with capacity to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities
- Proven expertise in project management principles, methodologies and experience utilizing project planning techniques, tools and templates
- Experience leading and supporting cross-organizational teams with an ability to earn the trust of key stakeholders, mobilize and motivate teams, set direction, build consensus, coach and resolve conflict
- Ability to exercise a high degree of autonomy in planning and managing projects
- Strong collaborative leadership
- Detail and goal orientated with strong problem-solving, critical thinking and negotiating skills
- Excellent communication, presentation, data visualisation, and facilitation skills, with the ability to present complex concepts clearly and effectively to a diverse audience
- Ability to work flexible hours
- Respect for diversity, equity, anti-racism and accessibility with the ability to work collaboratively and positively with others
- Strong interest in issues affecting people who are homeless, living with a mental illness or substance use, and complex health needs
- Respect for client confidentiality
- Proficiency in the use of computer technology and various software applications
- Previous CHC experience an asset
- Police clearance documentation will be required for employment
- Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination status will be required for employment
