RN Keren Elumir provides care at Toronto’s Moss Park Consumption and Treatment Service. On a typical day, she responds to overdoses, offers primary care and connects clients with other community services. A big part of her job – and the part she enjoys most – is providing a safe space and establishing connections along the way. “There’s not much that makes me happier than sitting on the floor or the sidewalk together, catching up and being welcomed into peoples’ lives.
