Caring for your family in a new land comes with both challenges and opportunities, for parents, grandparents and all other caregivers. In this section, you will find helpful information in different languages about parenting tips, children’s development, and much more.

You will find contact information for community health and support services for families with young children in East Toronto and for older adults and their family members living in the South Riverdale neighbourhood.

Chester School Clinic

The clinic at Chester ES is part of the Model Schools Paediatric Health Initiative, which aims to improve access to healthcare for students and their families by offering in-school clinics in neighbourhoods across the city.

Choose Health

We are a Toronto Central regional initiative led by South Riverdale Community Health Centre. We offer programs for community members living with long term health concerns, their caregivers, as well as their health care providers.

Grandparents Support Group

We offer a drop-in support program for a multi-cultural group of grandparents caring for grandchildren of ages 0-12 years every last Monday of the month.
