Administration – IT and Infrastructure Support

Salary Range: $37,307 - $43,890

 

South Riverdale Community Health Centre is a non-profit, multi-service organization that provides primary healthcare, social and community outreach services with an emphasis on health promotion and disease prevention primarily to people of East Toronto. Working in a team based environment, this position is responsible for providing information technologies support within SRCHC, both in-person and remotely.  This position will further provide organizational support for SRCHC’s phone systems, virtual platforms, inventory and technology systems across multiple sites.

 

Responsibilities:

Information Systems

  • Triage, troubleshoot and problem solve IT and communications issues
  • Provide IT support and set-up staff at all SRCHC service locations
  • Provide support on platforms/software to facilitate virtual care and group programming
  • Set-up of AV equipment for all staff meetings, both onsite and virtually
  • Maintain oversight for photocopiers and all other infrastructure equipment
  • Implement changes and updates to individual workstations, including systems, software and hardware
  • Work with the Coordinator of IT to execute IT and IT-related projects/systems
  • Liaise with 3rd party IT and phone contractors to ensure operational staff workstations and IT systems
  • Maintain tracking system for updates of software, licenses, etc.
  • Coordinate and setup new staff, and relocation of existing staff workstations (e.g. computers, phones, printers, photocopier, etc.)
  • Maintain oversight for photocopiers and all other infrastructure equipment
  • Ensure upkeep of all telephone land-lines and cell phones, communicating with staff on repairs or replacement needs

Administrative Support

  • Maintain and update inventory database system
  • Provide administrative support when needed at related meetings

Training

  • Provide new staff orientation training on use of computer, printer, photocopier, email system, internet, land-line phones and cell phones
  • Train staff on virtual platforms to support client visits and group programming (e.g. Zoom, GoTo Meetings, Teams, etc).

 

Qualifications:

  • Undergraduate degree / diploma in a relevant discipline from a recognized university or college; or a combination of education and relevant experience
  • Minimum 3-5 years’ related experience, preferably in a healthcare setting
  • Strong problem solving and can act under pressure
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Experienced in prioritizing workloads and demands
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in the use of computer technology and various software applications
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent ability to be responsive to changing environment and stakeholder needs
  • Respect for client confidentiality
  • Excellent negotiation skills
  • Ability to work effectively independently and in a multi-disciplinary team environment
  • Previous CHC experience an asset
  • Police clearance documentation will be required for employment
