Healthy Shoppers
1 ½ hour tour of a grocery store with a registered dietitian. Take an eye-opening tour of a supermarket with a dietitian, and learn about the best food choices for your health and your food dollar. Groups tours (5-12 people) only.
Topics include:
- food labels and processing
- hidden sugar and salt
- simple and complex carbohydrates
- “good” and “bad” fats
Program Eligibility:
Groups with common interests such as heart health, diabetes or osteoporosis, or healthy eating in general.
New mothers, seniors, English as a Second Language and new immigrant groups are particularly welcome.
Minimum of 5 people in the group
