Green Workplace Practices
Staff and volunteers implement environmentally friendly practices at the South Riverdale Community Health Centre. Workshops and presentations for community groups and organizations are available on request.
Achievements & Ongoing Projects:
- storage and change facilities for staff
- a weekly bicycle repair clinic
- low-maintenance ecology gardens
- improved indoor air quality
- reducing garbage from 50 to 6 bags per week
- using environmentally friendly cleaning products
Topics include how to:
- build organizational support
- do environmental audits
- support active modes of transportation
