Bones for Life

Bones for Life is a 7-weeks program. This program is in partnership with Osteoporosis Canada's "Break Through" program. This program is designed to promote bone health through all stages of life. Each session will include a 15 minutes gentle stretch, 60 minutes education, 30 minutes on Healthy Bones Community Kitchen, and 30 minutes "eat and chat" components.

Topics include:

  • bone basics and bone health assessment
  • nutrition and bone health
  • physical activity and proper posture
  • footwear and footcare
  • falls prevention and home safety
  • living well with osteoporosis
  • medication and bone health

English Program: Every other Wednesday starting April 1st to May 20th and June 10th and 17th at 10 a.m. - 12 p.m. Chinese Program: Wednesday July 15th and 29th, every other Wednesday starting August 5th to September 30th at 10 a.m. - 12 p.m.
