Human Resources Assistant
The South Riverdale Community Health Centre (SRCHC) is a non-profit, multiservice organization providing primary health care and community outreach services with an emphasis on health promotion to residents of Riverdale and South East Toronto. Under a new organizational structure, an HR Assistant position has been created to support the human resource management of the agency.
Reporting to the Director of Organizational Health Systems the Human Resources Assistant is responsible for tracking and reporting employee data, supporting recruitment, orientation and training activities, benefits administration, liaising with the Financial Services Assistant to support payroll administration, and general administrative support to the HR function. The incumbent will also provide general support to the management team and staff to help ensure that policies and guidelines are understood and followed.
The successful candidates will have a minimum of two years administrative experience and post-secondary education in a related field. Strong computer skills are required, specifically in Microsoft Office and Human Resources Information Systems. Also required is a strong understanding of employment legislation, in particular WSIB, Health and Safety and The Employment Standards Act. The applicant will also need to demonstrate exemplary interpersonal, communication, organizational competencies and have a strong attention to detail.
