Community Engagement Project
As someone who lives, works, plays or uses services in Riverdale, community members like yourself know a lot about what is working and what is not working in the community. From air quality to having enough money to live one, you have probably thought about what needs to change for things to be better – for you and for everyone else in your neighbourhood. But how to make that change? That is the hard part.
The community engagement project is about making South Riverdale Community Health Centre an even stronger vehicle for positive change in the lives of the individuals and of the communities that make up our neighbourhoods. Right now we are focusing on developing a strong and active membership, doing outreach to make connections with new groups of people and on addressing issues of poverty and health. A new group called Health And Strength Action Group is open to everyone who wants to get involved.
Every person in this community has experience, knowledge, skills or passion to contribute and can play a role in making our neighbourhoods healthier places.
Call Susan Bender to discuss how you can get involved, ext. 353
Currently, communication is in English but we are working on providing translation and interpretation.
The Community Engagement Project is funded by the Ontario Trillium Foundation.
